The City of London has for a very long time been divided into small areas called Wards. e.g Lime Street, Cornhill, Aldgate….. currently 25. From time to time the Boundaries are reviewed and possibly changed. e.g. 2010 decisions, implemented 2013 included moving the south side of Leadenhall Market to Langbourn Ward. Their Alderman did comment “even with the boundary changes – The Lamb was still in Lime Street Ward!”.

The number of Common Councilmen is also reviewed at the same time as Boundaries to ensure that there is a fair ratio of CCs to voters.
With the anticipated completion of for example of The Leadenhall Building (Cheesegrater)

and others in that vicinity within the Ward, the number of CC’s in Lime Street was increased from 3 to 4.
